Matt Cary is a business development executive, public policy leader, and veterans advocate with decades of experience in government relations, strategic partnerships, and organizational leadership. Throughout his career, he has worked across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, helping organizations strengthen stakeholder engagement, expand partnerships, and advance initiatives that create lasting impact.

Matt currently serves as Vice President of Business Development at Luceque Global, LLC, where he supports strategic growth initiatives and helps expand the company’s network of global partnerships. He also serves as Executive Director of Veterans & Military Families for Progress (VMFP), a national nonprofit, nonpartisan veterans service organization. A U.S. Army Reserve veteran, Matt served from 1969 to 1975 in a Combat Engineer Unit and the 354th Civil Affairs Unit, receiving an Honorable Discharge following six years of military service. As a founding member and the first elected President of VMFP, he helped lead advocacy efforts that resulted in the passage of 51 bills benefiting veterans and their families during the 110th and 111th Congresses.

Earlier in his career, Matt served as Director of Federal Programs for a consulting engineering trade association, Director of the New York State Washington Office under former Governor Hugh Carey, Washington Representative for the mayors of seven cities, and Legislative Director to a former New York Congressman. As Vice President of Business Development at Luceque Global, Matt leverages his extensive experience in government affairs, strategic partnerships, and business development to help organizations identify new opportunities and build meaningful collaborations that support Luceque’s mission of bringing innovative products and technologies to global markets. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from St. Bonaventure University and a Master of Public Administration from American University.
