Biography

Ambassador Chantale Y.M. Wong is an accomplished economic development executive with extensive experience in public finance, international development, sustainability and technology. She most recently served as the U.S. Ambassador and Executive Director for the Asian Development Bank, advancing U.S. foreign policy, national security, human rights and commercial priorities. During her tenure, the ADB increased its lending capacity by an additional $100 billion over 10 years while retaining its AAA credit rating.

Prior to this role, Ambassador Wong served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Administration at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, where she managed a $1 billion budget and financial compliance. Her career also includes senior roles at Amida Technology Solutions, NASA, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of the Interior, the Office of Management and Budget, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she helped implement the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program.

Ambassador Wong is the founding chair of the Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership. She holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, a Master in Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an undergraduate degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Hawaii.
