Mark Lee Keam is a mission-driven executive with more than three decades of leadership experience across business, government, political and nonprofit organizations. He has served as a chief executive, corporate counsel, consultant, elected and appointed official, and senior policy advisor.
In the private sector, Mr. Keam co-founded an international trading business operating across the Pacific Rim and a Washington, DC-based consulting firm. He has also served as in-house counsel, corporate lobbyist and strategy advisor for a Fortune 15 technology company, while leading several national nonprofit organizations.
In public service, Mr. Keam was appointed as a senior legal advisor at a federal business agency and later led an international trade office. He also served as a senior policy and legal advisor to a United States Senate Assistant Leader. Mr. Keam made history as the first Asian-born immigrant elected to a state-level office in Virginia.
Born in Korea, Mr. Keam lived in two countries before immigrating to the United States as a teenager. He holds degrees in political science and law from the University of California system.
